Pastoral Region Plan is Complete
St. Andrew St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parishes
Thanks to the extraordinary work of the Pastoral Region Coordinating Committee since July, the Pastoral Region Plan for St. Andrew and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is now complete, signed, and on its way to the desk of Archbishop Schnurr. Once both pastors have received word that the plan has been accepted, it will be posted on both parish websites.
Here is a review of the process we can all expect over the next two years.
On June 30, 2015, Fr. Rob Waller will retire as pastor of St. Andrew.
In the spring of 2015, his position will be “open listed.” In situations like this, sometimes a “parochial administrator” is named who would have the same responsibilities as pastor, but for only a two-year term. However, if the right priest candidate surfaces at the right time, there is the possibility of a “pastor” being named to St. Andrew who will automatically become the pastor of the Pastoral Region of St. Andrew and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in 2017 when it is fully implemented.
In June of 2017, Fr. Michael Cordier will complete his term as pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Fr. Cordier does not intend to present himself as a candidate for the position of pastor of the Pastoral Region.
During this holy season of Advent let us already be in prayer in anticipation of these two appointments in our near future. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Fr. Rob Waller at 831-3353 or Fr. Michael Cordier at 575-0119.
