Liturgical Ministries

Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another. Our liturgies should utilize the talents and gifts that God has given this community to the fullest extent. Whether participation is through “behind the scenes” preparation and planning or through a public role of service within the Mass, parishioner contributions help our liturgies to be truly life-giving celebrations. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries:

• Altar Attendants
  This is a ministry where you give special assistance to the priest in the celebration of the Eucharist. You would carry the processional cross, candles, etc. This ministry is open to any active parishioner who is involved in our PREP program or SASEAS School, fourth grade or older. If interested in this ministry, please contact Carol McNeal, 774-9608.

• Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion
  This is a special ministry where you, along with the priest, share the Body and Blood of Christ with the assembled community. Taking the Eucharist to parish members who are shut-ins or in rest homes is done at different times during the week. If interested in this ministry, please contact Metchy Hance, 831-5383.

• Lectors
  This is a special ministry of proclaiming the Word of God in the first and second Scripture readings of the liturgy. He/she also reads petitions and announcements. If interested in this ministry, please contact Jay and Teresa Porcaro, 722-1671.
