"JESUS WILL PULL US THROUGH!"
Christians & Coronavirus:
Staying Connected in Christ
JESUS WILL PULL US THROUGH!
OUR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL THEME THAT WILL NOW BE HELD NEXT YEAR IS FITTING FOR TODAY.
At Vacation Bible School (VBS) Rocky Railway, we will learn about so much more than trains. The train theme is simply a reminder of power. Trains are astonishingly powerful, able to haul incredible amounts of people and cargo all over the world. But a train’s power is nothing compared to Jesus’ power. Jesus’ power is unimaginably bigger and can pull us through life’s ups and downs. Like a winding railway that climbs to mountaintops, goes through deep valleys, and plunges through dark tunnels, life is a journey through good times, hard times, and even times that feel dark and hopeless. The good news is that Jesus is with us for the whole ride so we don’t need to be afraid. At VBS, the children will learn to recognize Jesus’ amazing power at work in their lives.
God is going to pull us through these uncertain times. And just like the children at VBS, I pray that you too may learn the following in the midst of this crisis:
JESUS’ POWER HELPS US DO HARD THINGS because Jesus is always with us during these times and Jesus knows the good that can come with every struggle.
JESUS’ POWER GIVES US HOPE because even though the world seems turbulent, dark or confusing, God’s promises to strengthen us and we can trust that God’s promises are true.
JESUS’ POWER HELPS US BE BOLD because for most of us speaking out about our faith can be intimidating, especially in the face of a culture that often feels “anti-Christian."
JESUS’ POWER LETS US LIVE FOREVER because we can celebrate the astonishing promise of eternal life with Jesus in Heaven.
JESUS’ POWER HELPS US BE GOOD FRIENDS because as a church we rely on prayer for hope, communion, healing, provision and unity. Our example and source of this unity is the Holy Trinity.
Remember, Jesus will pull us through the fear, loneliness, uncertainty, boredom, worry, and anger that you might be feeling. We just need to put our trust in HIM.
What is Jesus pulling you through?
